Danny Hebert

Danny was inducted into the LGA 'Hall of Flame' in recognition of his 22 years of dedication and leadership, including 14 years of service as a member of our board of directors.

He has been an inspiration to all. Danny has been a member of the association since 1981. He was nominated to the board in 1987, was president in 1990- 91, and has served as treasurer since 1991. He is a past chairman of the Codes and Compliance and the Education Committees. He is currently Chairman of the Budget & Finance and the Nominating Committees. He also is an active member of the Advisory, Budget, By-Laws, Code & Compliance, Convention, Education & Training, and Operator Qualification Committees. In addition, he instituted and manages our association's continuing education program.

In early 2006 Danny retired from CenterPoint Energy, where he had worked since February 1981. At the time of his retirement, he worked in the Louisiana Division Office located in New Iberia, Louisiana, as the operations manager for the Louisiana division, which included the Lake Charles, New Iberia, and Shreveport Districts.

Danny graduated from ULL (then USL) in 1970 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He obtained his engineering license in 1974 and he is a registered Professional Engineer.
