Michael St. Romain

Michael was elected to the board of directors in 1986 and became the association's youngest president in 1995 at age 35.

He has served as chairman of the education & Training and marketing committees, and he also has been active on the advisory, convention, nominating, culinary and NGV committees.

In addition, Michael enjoys selecting the food and beverage menu and taking care of the door prizes for the LGA Annual Meeting.

Michael began working part-time for South Coast Gas Co., Inc. in 1978 where he did construction work during the summer months and holidays. He later graduated from Nicholls State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Personnel Administration. Michael was hired as South Coast's Director of Marketing in 1984 and was named vice president in 2004.
