Clay Vanderlick

Clay was elected to the LGA Board of Directors in 1995. He served as 2nd Vice President in 2001, as 1st Vice President beginning in 2003, and was elected President in 2005 where he served until 2007.

Anticipating the future needs of the LGA, he was very instrumental in employing the Tatman Group as the LGA's marketing firm.

Clay has provided valuable service to the LGA in many capacities, including: Chairman of the Advisory Committee, Education and Training Committee, Membership/Nominating Committee, and Scholarship Committee.

Clay graduated in 1985 from LSU in Petroleum Engineering. He began his career in the natural gas industry in Lafayette in May of that year as a Safety Engineer. In 1986, he joined the City of Alexandria as a Distribution Engineer and was promoted in 1998 to Superintendent of Gas Distribution.

Clay has been very active in the LGA where he has found great friends, colleagues, and memories.
