LGA Announces 2016 Board of Directors Election Results

One new director was elected and four incumbents were re-elected. 
Baton Rouge, La. - The Louisiana Gas Association (LGA) is pleased to announce the five board of directors elected during the Annual Meeting held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge, La., on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. One new director was elected and four incumbents were re-elected. The directors elected to serve a three year term include: Thomas Smith with Gas Utility District #2 of East Baton Rouge Parish, Clay Vanderlick with City of Alexandria, Cary Robichaux with Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, Larry Williams with City of Walker, and Ron Hood with MarieCo.
 
Incumbent Distribution Operator, Thomas Smith of Zachary, LA, is the Operations Manager for Gas Utility District #2 of East Baton Rouge Parish. Smith currently serves at LGA 2nd Vice-President and was inducted to LGA's Hall of Flame in 2014.
 
Incumbent Distribution Operator, Clay Vanderlick of Alexandria, LA, is Superintendent of Gas Distribution for the City of Alexandria. Vanderlick has served on the LGA Board of Directors since 1995 and served as President from 2005-2007.  In 2009 he was inducted to the LGA Hall of Flame.
 
Incumbent Distribution Operator, Cary Robichaux of Houma, LA. is the Gas Distribution Superintendent of Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government.  
 
Incumbent Distribution Operator, Larry Williams of Walker, LA, is the Gas Department Superintendent of the City of Walker.  In addition to serving on the LGA Board of Directors, he also serves as an alternate to the Louisiana Municipal Gas Association. 
 
New Associate Director, Ron Hood of Youngsville, LA, is a Technical Salesman for MarieCo. After earning his degree in Electronic Technology from Northwest Alabama State Technical Institute he began his career at the Tennessee Gas Pipeline in 1979.
